As is becoming increasingly commonplace these days, Gears of War 3 is to follow the current trend of having its own version of the 'Season Pass' for its DLC, which will offer players access to the game's first batches of content at a discounted price, like the Rockstar Pass or Mortal Kombat Season Pass.
Microsoft says that the pass, which costs 2400 Microsoft Points ($30) will "guarantee a 33 percent discount on the game add-ons", as well as including a 'Liquid Metal Weapon Set'. This will cover the first four game add-ons, which are set to launch over the course of the next year starting in November.
Whether there'll be more DLC planned after the four pieces offered with the Season Pass is unknown, but no doubt there'll be an announcement in due course if there is. Gears of War 3 is out on September 20th, 2011.
